LIFE AT II BY IV
OUR STUDIO:
Headquartered in multicultural Toronto, our studio is spread across two floors in a brick and beam loft space. Flooded with natural light, there is no shortage of inspiration between conversations with fellow designers, an extensive art collection, and libraries filled with inspiration. Our kitchen is always stocked with the best coffee, tea, sparkling water, and snacks.
PRIME LOCATION:
Based in Liberty Village, we are surrounded by the convenience of many great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping options. Our prime location boasts accessibility to major transit lines (a 9-minute walk to the Exhibition GO Station, and less than 1 minute away from the King TTC line) for commuters, and our close proximity to the Gardiner Expressway saves hours of drive time through city traffic.
EMPOWERING OUR PEOPLE:
We value diversity in our team members and aim to create an inclusive space where everyone feels motivated, comfortable and inspired to do their best work. We invest in annual goal setting and performance reviews, work with designers on benchmarking and growth tracks to further their professional goals, and host leadership workshops. We dedicate time to professional development for technical skills, and who doesn’t love the opportunity for business travel? We go the extra mile.
CULTURE:
Every year, we organize fun events for the entire team. Last year, we hosted a drag brunch in honour of Pride Month, enjoyed a beach day in the summer, shared a five-course meal together at a Michelin-star restaurant to celebrate a great year, and many memories in between.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS:
Comprehensive group health insurance, summer hours, and bi-weekly virtual yoga sessions – just to name a few.
DOG-FRIENDLY WORKSPACE:
Pets contribute to a happy workplace! Our dog-friendly policy means you will often find a few furry friends roaming around the studio.
CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team. If you’re passionate about design, storytelling, and all things arts and culture, then this might be the job for you!
As our Coordinator extraordinaire, you’ll be the driving force behind our captivating content. We’re talking about videos, photos, and editorials that will draw viewers in for more. You’ll help execute our marketing and social strategy, as well as directly supporting business development and press initiatives. You’ll have the power to bring our firm’s message and brand image to life with a fresh perspective, infusing your passion for arts and culture into every piece of content.
Now, let’s talk about the skills and experience we’re looking for. Ideally, you’ll have 3-5 years of related experience, with a background in Interior Design or Architecture (but don’t worry, if you’re a creative whiz in another field, we’re open to that too!). It’s essential that you have a knack for storytelling on digital platforms and can navigate content management systems like a pro. Experience delivering email campaigns and being on social media is a must, especially when it comes to Instagram and Linkedin. If you’ve dabbled in social media advertising and have a good grasp of Google Analytics, that’s a huge bonus!
When it comes to design, we’re looking for someone who can work their magic with programs like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premiere). And of course, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential for collaborating with the team.
Let’s not forget about your impressive attention to detail. Your visual presentation skills are top-notch, and you have an eagle eye for catching those discrepancies and spelling errors that slip past others. Communication skills? We’re talking about nailing both verbal and written communication, with a flair for captivating audiences and bringing ideas to life.
We are looking for someone who’s not only passionate but also deeply connected to the world of arts and culture. You’ll have your finger on the pulse of society, understanding its narratives and trends. Networking and building relationships will come naturally to you, whether it’s engaging with the studio team, clients, or connecting with industry peers. And above all, your enthusiasm will be infectious, bringing positive vibes and a get-it-done attitude to the team.
So, if you’re ready to unleash your creativity, work with a dynamic team, and be part of a firm that values art, culture, and the power of design, then let’s create marketing magic together. Send us your resume with a portfolio to show us what you’ve done. We can’t wait to meet you!
