In 2026, II BY IV DESIGN was named to Forbes’ inaugural list of America’s Top Hospitality Architects & Designers—a distinction that underscores the studio’s leadership in shaping the future of luxury hospitality.
The hospitality sector is one of the strongest drivers of the U.S. economy, responsible for more than $894 billion in GDP in 2024. Within this vast and ever-evolving landscape, architects and designers play a vital role in defining how guests feel, connect, and experience place. Forbes set out to identify the firms that are not only excelling within this sector but elevating it—particularly within the fine-dining and luxury hospitality segments that have demonstrated the greatest resilience post-pandemic.
From more than 850 U.S.-based firms, Forbes conducted an extensive review of portfolios, built work, and published projects. The evaluation was conducted using the Forbes Architecture System of Evaluation, a rigorous two-tier, 12-category framework designed to measure excellence, innovation, craft, and impact.
Participation was by invitation only, with firms required to submit an exemplary hospitality project completed in 2019 or later. II BY IV DESIGN’s work was recognized for its craftsmanship, narrative depth, emotional intelligence, and the ability to create immersive experiences that transcend category.
This honor places II BY IV DESIGN among the industry’s most influential and forward-thinking studios—those shaping the next chapter of luxury hospitality in America.
